ISLAMABAD, June 18, 2026: SAP has reaffirmed its commitment to Pakistan’s digital transformation and economic growth during a visit by Augusta Spinelli, Regional President, SAP EMEA. As a result, both sides strengthened dialogue on AI, cloud, and innovation-led development.
Meanwhile, Augusta Spinelli met Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja. They discussed Pakistan’s digital economy and the role of emerging technologies. In addition, they focused on innovation-led growth, competitiveness, and AI-driven workforce readiness.
The minister appreciated SAP’s contribution to Pakistan’s technology ecosystem. She said Pakistan’s young population and progressive policies support digital growth. Moreover, she stressed the need to use data, cloud, and AI to improve efficiency and create economic opportunities.
Furthermore, both sides highlighted the growing importance of AI and digital skills. They agreed that cloud technologies can accelerate innovation and strengthen competitiveness. In addition, they emphasized investing in local talent to support long-term growth.
Pakistan continues to expand as a dynamic digital market. It benefits from a young workforce, stronger infrastructure, and rising technology adoption. Therefore, AI is expected to play a central role in the country’s next phase of digital transformation.
