Sky TV Outage Enters Second Day as Thousands Across UK Remain Affected

Sky TV services remain disrupted across the UK, with a widespread outage continuing into its second consecutive day, leaving thousands of customers unable to access television channels.

According to outage monitoring website Downdetector, reports of problems surged again on Saturday morning, January 10, 2026, after the disruption first began in the early hours of Friday. Complaints started appearing shortly after 3am, rising sharply by 6:30am and surpassing 8,000 reports nationwide.

Many customers say the issues have shown little improvement since the initial failure. Data from Downdetector indicates that nearly 80% of affected users are unable to access live TV channels. Around 12% reported significant streaming issues, while approximately 8% experienced a complete loss of Sky TV service.

Sky has confirmed the ongoing disruption, stating that a technical fault is impacting some Sky Q and Sky+ customers. The company said affected users are encountering “no satellite signal” error messages and added that engineers are continuing work to resolve the issue.

Customers have been advised to restart their devices periodically, though many report that this has not restored service. Frustration has spilled over onto social media, particularly on X, where users criticised the length of the outage and lack of progress.

Several customers said their service had been unavailable since early Friday morning, while others reported repeated reboots without success, despite earlier assurances that the problem had been resolved.
