KARACHI, July 13,2026: Standard Chartered Pakistan has appointed Adil Salahuddin as its Chief Executive Officer and Head of Coverage, subject to regulatory and statutory approvals.
Announcing the appointment, Rola Abu Manneh, Chief Executive Officer for UAE, Middle East and Pakistan at Standard Chartered, said Pakistan remains one of the bank’s most important and longest-established markets.
She said the appointment reflects the bank’s long-term commitment to Pakistan and its confidence in the country’s growth potential. She added that Adil brings extensive leadership experience, deep client knowledge and a strong understanding of regional markets.
Furthermore, Abu Manneh said Standard Chartered’s international network continues to help clients navigate changing trade, investment and capital flows. She expressed confidence that Adil will strengthen client relationships and support Pakistan’s economic growth.
Adil Salahuddin brings more than 30 years of banking experience, including 25 years with Standard Chartered. During his career, he has held senior leadership roles across Markets and Coverage in Pakistan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Previously, he served as Head of Markets in Pakistan for five years before moving to Dubai in 2021 to lead the Corporate Sales business across the Middle East, Pakistan and Africa. Most recently, he served as Head of Coverage in Pakistan.
Standard Chartered has operated in Pakistan since 1863 and remains the country’s oldest and largest international bank. The bank serves corporate, institutional, wealth and retail clients through a wide range of financial products, including Islamic banking services under the Standard Chartered Saadiq brand.
