Federal Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar Shows Support for Kashmiris on Kashmir Siege Day

Islamabad, August 4, 2025: Federal Minister for Law, Justice, and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, expressed strong support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Kashmir Siege Day.

He called August 5, 2019, a dark day when India revoked Articles 370 and 35-A, taking away Kashmiris’ political and constitutional rights. Tarar condemned this move as a violation of UN resolutions and international law.

The minister said Kashmir is still under a harsh military siege with media restrictions and ongoing human rights abuses. He promised Pakistan will continue to support Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and expose India’s actions globally.

He urged the international community not to ignore the situation in Kashmir, saying silence is like supporting injustice. Tarar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to stand with Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom and justice.

August 5, 2025, marks six years since India’s controversial decision, which worsened the crisis in Kashmir.
